i asked out a girl last night after my "restoring your heart" group. she's not in my group, but works at the church and i have been internet friends with her for a long time, but just recently "fell" for her last year when she referenced the "top that" rap from teen witch, and was generally hilarious and perfect for me in lots of ways.
but i never pulled the trigger despite the fact that she is awesome and local and has had a husband and kids for practically identical time spans as me because i thought i was full up on friends. and then last week i realized that i actually dont have any. funtimes for the self esteem!
so i asked this girl out. it was weird and nerdy as hell. plus she's taller in real life than she is on the internet, and i come from a land where height is power (volleyland). but she said yes! so we are going to be in real life friends now.
it was even more encouraging when i got home and saw what i looked like in the mirror. this martian death flu has ravaged me and i looked like a mid-morphed zombie. so i KNOW she didnt say yes just because i'm foxy. what a relief.
i am hoping that she doesnt read this and think that all the pressure is on her to be my entire girl community. obviously it IS, but i just hope she doesnt read it and know that. hahaha, jokes. if it doesnt work out, we can just friend break-up....because that's always fun too.
