the cow that rocks the cradle

this cow toy has been on judah's car seat from week 1. judah hasn't ever shown much interest beyond us taking it off the car seat and dancing it around in front of him. the real 'toy' aspect of it is supposed to be pulling the little cord and the cow shakes around and rattles the little confetti in his plastic tummy (there is only 1 stomach in this cow, poor, disabled, thing).
.
just this week at the grocery store, judah was getting antsy so i took it down and handed it to him so he could crinkle the cellophane hooves and enjoy the noise. he was quasi-interested. the best thing this cow had done for us so far was to earn us a free chikfila sandwich on cow dress up day...it was a stretch but the nice worker let us get the sandwich without technically dressing like a cow. this turn of events was fitting since josh and mandie sells--cfa operators--are the ones who gave it to him.
.
judah is way slow on using his hands (probably because we keep him swaddled 10 hours a day so he can sleep, its a miracle he even realizes he has arms) so even him holding it and crinkling it accidentally was exciting. well, today jesse sent me this video he took of judah finally using the cow for its intended purpose: working out his triceps, biceps, and deltoids (i totally looks like he is having a little workout). i think jesse put judahs hand on the pull, so dont get too excited that he has fine motor skills or hand/eye coordination just yet. fun to watch nonetheless.
