before i forget, several of y'all asked about the software i used to make judah's birthday video. well i am embarassed to say that it was windows movie maker, the program that comes standard on PC's. or at least it came standard on my PC that i use daily (ahem). it's super simple to use and that's where the fun ends. mine would crash all the time and freeze and there aren't a lot of options for making your video cooler than just music and pictures/video.

i also downloaded a free mp3/wav splitter to slice up the music when i didn't need to use the whole song. i got that at download.com

apple computers have an imovie maker program that is way better, easier and cooler to use. jesse's work computer is an apple so next year he will be making the video.

there are also nicer programs that you can buy (and some that you can download a free version of to use for like 30 days or something). we have both used pinnacle a bunch in our video editing careers and it's really user-friendly and has lots of options.
