my friend, natalie, sent me a link to what have to be the most awesome little youtube videos i have seen in a looooooong time.
nat is a responsible emailer and NEVER sends chain crap, lame forwards or unsubstantiated garbage (snopes.com people. verify before you forward baloney). she also crawls under beds to be jesus and rescue me from pregnant marriage hell, so i just knew this would be good.
but i had NO idea that i would be shaking with mirth at my desk and restraining tears. this crap is SO RIGHT ON. i didnt know it was possible to simultaneously mock a group of people while also being completely embarrassed and guilty of being in that demographic.
i give you (merry christmas!), "shit girls say" (these videos are totally clean, despite that somewhat salty title):
the actor's delivery SLAYS me. he is so so so so so right on. it's hard to be offended by being stereotyped when the stereotype fits me snugger than the very clothes that i hate trying on.
i went back and watched these again (and again and again) and kept a rough tally of how many i am guilty of saying in JUST the same tone and i've gotta say it's at least 85%. and here i thought i was an original kind of gal.
my favorites: "that's NOT okay," "can you do me a huge favor?," "are you near a computer?" "that poor dog needs water," "TWINSIES!"
so fess up, what percentage of these are you guilty of and which ones are right on for you?
a hearty, hearty, touché to the makers of these videos. i'm burnt.
