Totally standard. My almost-2-year-old does the same thing. I always think about doing an intervention but then I realize how much I really enjoy him being quiet for a few minutes and I leave him be :)
Totally normal! Every kid I babysit, every little cousin, every kid I see in Best Buy gets this look when staring at a screen. I find it rather hilarious and see just how much it takes to distract them (brownies is the only thing that seems to consistently pull them away).
I'm not entirely sure that it's common to everyone, but the coma face makes its appearance anytime a cartoon is on around here too.
