handel says what?

HALLELUJAH! i found my glasses and my camera. that means halloween pics are coming soon! in the meantime people, please celebrate the 2009 election day today and vote on the poll at the top right of the blog. there are like 10 times as many people reading this as there were back when we did the old one right after judah was born and yet half as many votes as back then. maybe this photo exhibition will help you decide who judah looks like...finally.

the bug in all his 2009 glory. right around 5 months old here

judah's daddy at a few months old 1982

and the mommy under a shockingly similar textile to the above photo, also in 1982. (maybe my and jesse's moms were shopping for quilt fabric in the same store in the summer of 1982 and they squeezed by each other in the yellow checkered aisle and their bellies rubbed together and jesse and i peeked out of our belly button portholes and our fetal eyes locked and we fell in love, our hearts imprinted with the memory of the true love that we would search after for 21 years...90% sure that's how it happened)

ok people...make up your minds and barrack the vote. hopefully we'll get enough votes on the judah poll to post the halloween riddle-reveal pics...not that i would hold out on yall until we got enough votes or anything. never.

still haven't found our camera. don't even get me started on the heartache. so i scoured the archives for something to post about today. while it's not nearly as great as the halloween pics would be, it's still pretty cool to see how the bug has blown up.
.
these are the pics we take on each of his monthly birthdays. its crazy because whenever i look at him, from the very beginning, i have thought he was the cutest thing ever in my arms. but looking back at the younger pictures i think to myself, "wow, he's so much cuter now, he's a little bald/cross eyed/puny in these pics." but that's a good thing. if i thought he was cuter back then i'd just sit around and cry all day and miss that little guy. luckily he wakes up every day even cuter/smarter/adorabler than yesterday. i have even said to myself, "i will never think that the way he looks right now is anything less than the most adorable baby ever," and then a few months later i'm like, "oh, he was so ugly then compared to the baby adonis he is now." i'm sure this streak of waking up every day to a cuter version will come to a crashing halt sometime around the awkward tween years, but for now i am loving his daily transformations that make me fall even more in love with him and make it easier to let go of my teeny baby.
.
0 months old going home from the hospital 24 hours after birth. looking so sweet and helpless, and a bit like an old man with a pointy head. oh, tiny rocker of our world.

6/25, so bald. and only one leg fat roll. still kind of wormy and paranoid looking. gosh he was tiny.

7/25, ok the "cuter now" theory doesn't apply here. this was my favorite outfit of his and he was just getting to be so alert and smiley and chunky, yet still tiny and snuggly. double fist pump!

8/25 he was NOT happy this night. i think we woke him up from a carseat nap before taking these. he had lost all his jaundice tan and was all pale and red blotchy from waking up and crying. still could just eat him and his receding hairline up.
.

9/25, starting to look much more like himself. chunky and smiley and manly and marching. that's judah
.

10/25, and here's the latest. still on the march and not fitting sideways in the crib anymore. holy moly, i love this kid. excuse me while i go count down the seconds until i can leave work and go pick him up!

to my pity party. i can't find our camera with all the halloween pics on it. so i can't post about what we all were for halloween, and it was GOOD. we looked ridiculous. also, i have lost my 4 week old glasses thank can't be replaced because insurance only covers one pair every 2 years. also i was butt sick all weekend and tried to go to the dr. this morning but they wouldn't let me even try for a walk in appointment until 2:30 today which is when i leave work and go pick up jesse's sister, elena, for respite care. jerks. so hopefully i will have a full recovery on all these issues tonight and be able to post tomorrow. sorry for the delay.
